![]() Itimad-ud-Daulah, also known as the "Baby Taj". We walk to the Taj the next morning. Brian is particularly proud of this picture. ![]() The Taj Majal was beautiful. We marveled at the marble. ![]() We took many, many pictures here. ![]() ![]() ![]() We made sure to wake up early to visit the Taj at sunrise. ![]() We dug deep into our pockets for the admission (about 19 US$ each!! while the locals paid about 10 cents), shooed away the usual annoyances of locals hawking their wares, photography, and tour guiding skills, and enjoyed the breathtaking beauty of the Taj. ![]() An example of bad photography, compliments of Susana. . . ;) ![]() Both trying to wake up still. . . . ![]() Below and behind the Taj, trash strewn swampy area where we saw locals walking. ![]() The backside of the Taj. ![]() Sweeping one of the buildings next to the Taj. ![]() The Taj from another view. ![]() Taking a rickshaw from the Taj Mahal to Agra Fort. ![]() View of the Taj from Agra Fort, 1565 AD. |
