Our first taste of modern Europe.  We found Poland full of warm and artistic people. 
The old town of Warsaw was completely rebuilt, but still charming.

Lots of locals filling the streets and even some sitting on the old walls.



It was wedding season.  Above, a unique looking church with parishioners standing outside.
Another church, below, bride waiting with her father to march down the isle .




If you walk in the right neighborhoods you find some great old architecture,
plaster fallen off of buildings and rusting rot iron balconies.




 This is the run down feel that Warsaw must have had just a few years ago. 
If you want to see this sort of thing you'd better hurry though, renovation is eating up these dirty gems.


     


Smiling idiots in Lazienki Park.  It is situated in the center of this big city.  Picturesque isn't  it?
