We arrived in Jakarta and left to Yogyakarta (joe-je-kar-ta) the
next day.
It is considered the cultural center of Java Island. There were ruins
nearby and markets
to see, so we stayed here a few days. It is also a college town, so
people were
really friendly and laid back compared to the people in Jakarta.
This is part of the Water Palace.
Brian fanning himself on top of the
Water Palace overlooking the
village and market.
The bird market next to the Water Palace. Can you see part of the Water
Palace in the background?
