It started at 9 am in Buerjin and didn't arrive until 2am the next morning! Here, we're on bus from Haba to Baihaba that broke down midway. We were left stranded on the road. Fortunately, it was super scenic, and there was a yurt within sight which, after being bored to death, walked to. We ended up joining another (Uyghur) couple. Together we had bowls of very sour camel's milk which we paid 5RMB for. From Baihaba, we hitchhiked further north where we found a yurt near the road. We stopped there and stayed with a Kazak family in their yurt for the night. This is the view from the pastures at sunset. We walked around the meadow and wandered nearby to another family's yurt. They invited us in for tea and fried bread. They were sweet to us but quickly lost interested once we told them we couldn't produce pictures (on paper) for them.
